Happy Mother's Day & Update

Just got home from work and wanted to say ~ Happy Mother's Day! Especially to my mother. I don't know what I would do without her. Especially the last month while I have been working two jobs and keeping my kids in their activities. Mom - Thanks and I Love You!

As for an update of the last month:

~ Morgan turned 12 and was ordained a deacon by his grandpa. He will pass the sacrament for the first time today. Hopefully I will get to see it (have to work right up until the time church starts); but he will be doing it for awhile so if not life goes on. We went and bought him new church pants, shirt, tie, socks, and shoes. (pictures coming soon) In 6 years we will be going to buy his missionary clothes. I can't believe he is old enough to go to young mens. We got to go to his first fireside. President Gibson of the General Young Men's Presidency came and spoke to our stake's youth, parents, and leaders.
~ Morgan earned 3 merit badges: swimming, rifle, and dentistry and received them at his first court of honor.
~ Morgan and I had the opportunity to be a part of Hope of America in conjunction with America's Freedom Festival. That was really patriotic, emotional, and fun. (pictures coming soon)
~ Morgan has started baseball with 2 games and 2 practices a week.
~ Shelby and I had the opportunity to go to the zoo with the first grade classes. We were excited to see lions, tigers, and bears - oh my. But there weren't any bears, lions, or zebras! The kids in our group wanted to see the penguins because they had been learning about them but there were only 2 of them and they didn't look so good. And there was only one elephant and four giraffes. I was kind of disappointed about the animal displays. I'm thinking we will have to check out the San Diego Zoo. (pictures coming soon)
~ Morgan & Shelby have started 4h in riding horses. Most of our practices have been in our arena when it is warm and we don't have a million other things going on.
~ As for me I am working as an aide at the kids' elementary school and at a gas station.

Other than that we are well, happy, and busy!

Off to bed for me - have to be at work in five hours.
