Miley Cyrus concert was awesome! Shelby was surprise, excited, and had a good time. Along with other little girls and their mothers. Miley was sick with the flu and during her third song she just ran off and her back up singers finished the song. ... Her big brother, Chase, opened up with his band 'Metro Station.'

Piano at Thirtysomething?
That's me. I am thirtysomething and learning to play the hymns and primary songs. I took piano lessons many moons ago for at least five years or so. But for some reason the hymns and primary songs weren't apart of the lesson plan. I have had this urging feeling to learn them; and yes I could have just done it on my own; but I am actually taking real piano lessons so that I can be held accountable and responsible. And besides my teacher is real cool and has a sense of humor. Why am I doing this? To develop a talent that was started when I was young. And to show to my children that you can do anything at my age or any age for that matter. Also, we are asked to share our talents with others. Well one of the talents that I have is playing the piano; but not to my best ability that I can help out in primary, relief society, etc. For example: a couple weekends ago at the single adult conference they needed someone to either play the piano or lead. Unfortunatley, I could not 'play' the piano; but I could lead. I will eventually start getting to the point that yes I can 'play' the piano; but only certain songs (as I add the ones that I learn). So, at the single adult conference I got to lead; thanks to my parents for 1) having family home evenings while I was growing up 2) for teaching me how to lead music in family home evening and 3) for giving me the opportunity to learn how to play the piano and gain some music background. I love my teacher, her personality, and her sense of humor. She teaches Shelby (her first year) and I love the way she interacts with her and her positive attitude. As soon as we get a clean bill of health from Morgan's hand surgeon and physical therapist, he will be taking to. I know there are solos and duets, but is there something for all three people to play?

Labor Day
I know. I am eleven days behind. For Labor Day we went to our canyon property named 'paradise,' with my family. It was a beautiful day. Fresh mountain air.....ah.

BB Gun shoot out. Done everytime we go to paradise. There are eight kids ranging from thirteen to eight who all have guns. However, grandma get's them everytime. She is quite the sharp shooter. She has had practice on chickens and mink. So beware.

Grandparent's Day
Today is Grandparent's Day so I wanted to take this opportunity and tell my grandparent's and my children's grandparents and my adopted grandparents happy grandparents day. I am so glad that you have been, still are, and are a part of our lives. I have only one living grandpa right now. His wife (grandma cookie) passed away two years ago last month. (my mom's parents) My grandpa Lewis passed away seven years ago this past January. And my grandma Barbara Lewis, whom I get my middle name from, passed away before I was even thought of. Growing up I always thought that they would live forever here on earth. But I am very grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where I know that I will get to live with them forever. As for my children's grandparents (my parents) I am very grateful for all that they do for me, my children, and family. I hope that they will be here on earth with us for a very long time. I am very grateful for my eternal families. So, again, happy grandparent's day and I am glad that there is a day to celebrate you and to remind us of how lucky we all are to have you in our lives.

My name is Shelby
A little flower shop's marquee stated,
"If your name is Shelby, come and get a free flower."
So, knowing my little 'girl' she would want the flower.
And here is her flower.....
